Butterfly Project, Inc. is a nonprofit organization providing programs and mentoring for young women aging out of the foster care system in Leon County and surrounding areas. Our program is in direct response to the growing number of former foster girls who are falling through the cracks at school and in the workforce, engaging in self-destructive behavior, or are already entangled with the juvenile/criminal justice system. Our goal is to foster a commitment to these young women that will promote their personal, educational, and social growth, which will enable them to lead productive lives. |

| Only through positive reinforcement and targeted workshops can a sense of self-worth and individual responsibility be established and maintained that will give these young women the inspiration and guidance to follow through on a path to independent womanhood with a sense of purpose, pride, and accomplishment. | ||
